Why I am in Real Estate:
I actually got into real estate by chance. I was pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree, studying to be a teacher, and needed a part-time job while I went to school. I applied to be a receptionist at a real estate office where a family friend was the broker. Within a few weeks I was helping some of the agents with marketing – I was pretty tech-savvy and more than willing to add some excitement and creativity to my time manning the front desk. A full-time position in marketing was offered to me not long after, and I jumped at the opportunity. Being a teacher was put on the back burner and real estate became front and center. Marketing was so much fun, and it came naturally to me – I loved coming up with different ways to describe homes and creating custom designed flyers and postcards for agents to market their homes and their businesses. I worked for that real estate firm for a few years and worked for several different real estate firms after that. Fast forward fifteen years to my dream job, working on this terrific, successful team as the Marketing Coordinator. Earlier this year I got my real estate license, which had been a goal of mine for years. I love being in real estate mainly because I really enjoy interacting with people, but also because I just adore homes in general! I love painting a picture with my words so that people want to experience the home for themselves. I also really enjoy showing properties to buyers and helping them choose the perfect home. I think buyers deserve agents who are passionate about real estate!
